‘The Client, had some key requirements in relation to the heating to be installed in the Bedrooms – must be energy efficient, easy to operate, thermostatically controlled and modern looking to fit in with the design of the rooms’.
Dillon’s Hotel is a thriving, family run hotel in the heart of Letterkenny, Co. Donegal. The McKeever Hotel Group, acquired the Letterkenny Court Hotel in mid 2014 and immediately embarked on an ambitious renovation plan, the first phase of which included refurbishing the ground floor and building a new function room and private dining area.
Prior to its grand reopening in late 2014 the hotel was rebranded as Dillon’s Hotel in honour of a much-loved supermarket which once occupied the site.
The accommodation offered by Dillon’s Hotel includes 58 bedrooms and 26 apartments located over three floors. The second phase of the renovation comprised an upgrading of the bedrooms and apartments. For this part of the renovation the client was looking for the most energy efficient electric heating system for the hotel. Previously a mixture of panel heaters and storage heaters were installed which needed to be replaced.
The McKeever Hotel Group had some key requirements in relation to the heating to be installed in the Bedrooms – must be energy efficient, easy to use, thermostatically controlled and modern looking to fit in with the design of the rooms. Drawings were submitted and the ATC Technical Department drew up a heating design for each room and area outlining the Radiator size required to offer the most efficient and comfortable heating solution. The ATC sales representative visited the site and demonstrated the Sun Ray Radiator to the client.
Having seen a demonstration of the ATC Sunray heater, the McKeever Hotel Group, through their electrical contractor and electrical wholesaler have now installed 160 ATC Sun Ray Digital Radiators in various sizes from 750 Watts through to 1800 Watts. The Radiators are installed in the Bedrooms and the corridors.
The client was impressed with the ATC brand and also installed 15 Cheetah Hand dryers for all the public washrooms.
