As the country gets set to re-open, one of the recent developments will be of interest to those operating within the hospitality sector here in Ireland.

Minister for Tourism Catherine Martin along with Failte Ireland announced details this week of a fund designed to assist the hospitality sector here in Ireland as they move towards a re-opening date.

Local authorities can avail of funding through this scheme with grants of €200,000 available to facilitate them in the development of zones which will be used for outdoor dining on a long-term basis.

Individual business owners can also apply for funding estimated to be on average €4,000 per business which covers items such as parasols, electric heaters, and seating.
